The following content was created as part of our collaborative work with Paradox Interactive to generate engaging experiences for players and expand the already vast galaxy of Stellaris.
Working as Lead Narrative Content Designer on the project, I led a team to create 60+ Events for Stellaris across multiple DLC packs from March 2024 onwards.
This was done while liaising with Paradox Interactive creative leads to maintain a cohesive, consistent tone and vision through design documentation and Jira tracking. As well as running collaborative writer workshops with both internal Abrakam Entertainment content teams and Paradox Interactive writers, to review and feedback content before delivery.
Presented below is an example of how a stage of the event appears in game, as well as links to the documentation tracking the full content for implementation.
The following events are examples of Colony Event Chains in Stellaris, on setting up a new colony for your empire there is a chance these events may trigger, at which point the player begins the event chain.
Through choosing the branching options available to them, players can affect their empires positively or negatively as they attempt to navigate the strange new worlds they discover.
For ease of reading, these event chains are presented first as screenshots of their shipped game appearance, with their full technical documentation provided in attached links, showing how the event was presented internally to the implementation team.
Stellaris: Colony Events
Sniper Elite 5: Cutscenes, Character Bios and Mission Dialogue.
The following content was made for the fifth entry in Rebellion’s Sniper Elite franchise, released in May 2022.
As the project's Principal Narrative Designer, I was involved in the creation and implementation of all 21,000 lines of dialogue split across mission driven story content, as well as AI driven global barks.
This is in addition to the creation of its numerous written text deliverables - such as character briefs, mission descriptions, collectible journals, and over 1500 NPC names and intel that can be found throughout the game.

Strange Brigade: Character Barks.
The following dialogue lines (linked here for easier reading) are a selection of character barks for Gracie Braithwaite in 2018’s Strange Brigade.
As part of the main cast, Gracie is one of four default characters players can choose when playing through the campaign.
A lethal Lancashire lass, Gracie isn’t one to shy away from danger whenever the Strange Brigade is called into action.
